The Refuge is located on the Dolomiti Superski slopes: 12 resorts and 1200km of slopes all connected by modern ski lifts as well as the famous Sellaronda or Giro dei quattro passi, the “four passes” scenic route of about 40 km. The refuge has a modern ski depot and a private ski-lift that leads directly to the slopes avoiding the long, cold morning queues.

The Friedrich August can be reached along the Col Rodella ski slope, which can be reached by cable car from Campitello di Fassa or from the Sella Pass using the Sassolungo and Des Alpes lifts.
Guests can leave their car in the private (unsupervised) parking area at Passo Sella, where the latter’s snowmobile service will take them directly to the refuge.
